Wonderful

Everything was very clean. I like the shared lounge space that guests can hang out.

The room was quite tight especially the bathroom, although it was understandable being in Kyoto. I don't like that the breakfast set has very little protein in it. There were only 2 sets to choose from, Western or Japanese. I don't like that the ingredients in each set are the same every day.

Amazing experience we stayed in one of the Japanese traditional rooms. It was honestly so beautiful and so spacious one of the biggest rooms we stayed in through our trip in Japan. The staff was very helpful and super kind. It is very well located as well.

It’s so classy and the also have a rooftop. Neighbourhood is super calm and you have a metro, at a distance of 5min walk

Lovely relaxing hotel in a calm but well connected area

Very calm and beautiful hotel with friendly staff and plenty of amenities. Breakfast was lovely, though a little expensive. Relaxing area of Kyoto, right next to palace gardens and a direct line to Kyoto central.

Good hotel, but not very comfortable rooms and limited breakfast

So the separate bathroom outside the room is a bit annoying. You have to keep your room door open (with a shoe or something else) or you will lock yourself out! Especially annoying at night and with kids. Breakfast is very very limited, would not recommend. And they give you just one small coffee, if you want extra they charge you 600Y. I found this absurd.

It was overall a very comfortable stay, and I’d like to book the hotel again when next time in Kyoto:)

Location and minimalist yet tasteful deco inside. Very much ZEN. The breakfast was thoughtful and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Really great value, well-designed, superbly clean and with everything you need.

Well designed, with everything you need in a space-efficient and simple layout.

Slightly odd to have to take room key to access bathroom. It was our own private bathroom and facilities themselves are nice, so we quickly got used to it. But it still seems a bit of an odd set-up!

The lounge was nice and the location is great. The rooms were very clean too

Rooms too small for a family of four . They’ll pack three matresses side by side plus one on the side it is just way too cramped .

Really cool hotel, we liked staying there but had some difficulty to sleep due to the street noise

The lounge is awesome with excellent teas and water The staff is super nice and welcoming (we had a problem with a futon and it was replaced The day after without any problem) Thé hotel is real nice and the smell is amazing, very clean Super close to the metro

The room is very loud (we had the video on the express way, the window système is not isolâted and we had the impression the window was open)

Love the hotel, will stay again

We stayed at the room with separated bathroom, and I was a little worried about what it means and how it looks. But it wasn’t a problem at all. Room and bathroom are behind the 3th door: from the hall you enter the door and behind it are doors to room and bathroom, so it wasn’t any issue to go to the bathroom in pajamas. Really loved their pajamas btw ????

Perfect for a short trip

Central location, close to subway and train stations. Imperial Palace and gardens close by. Hotel rooms were a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. Our room came with a safe, fridge and seating area. We had issues with heating, staff came and checked it out and when it could not be fixed, they changed our rooms immediately. Staff very polite and ready to help with anything. Breakfast was a choice of Japanese or Western, with only one option of each. Lovely lounge area with free tea and herbal water that was made up fresh each day. Served cocktails from 7 - 10pm

Carpet was stained in bedroom. This is really nit picking

Not for tourists?

Location is amazing. Subway very close. Loved the big chilling space at the back on first floor! Modern and chic, couch was very comfortable.

We got the room with private toilet and bathroom in another space right next to it, but it really didn't make sense for us. The entrance to the room comes with a sliding door, which anyone (strangers)can easily access, and locked door to access the bedroom. The washroom is outside of your bedroom so we need to bring a card key every time you need to get in, and it was just a lot of work going in and out of the washroom with 3 people staying there. Not to mention, if someone woke up for washroom in the middle of the night, you need to remember to bring the card key otherwise you'll get locked out of your bedroom....we thought about putting the dead bolt on our bedroom door so that wouldn't happen, but then because of the sliding entrance door, strangers can easily come into our bedroom. Felt unsafe to do that. The whole reason why I got this room was because my partner is very tall foreigner and oftentimes the hotel toilets that are conjoined with the shower is too small for him. Other problem was that the room was very hot, and thermostat was locked so we couldn't adjust the temperature. We opened the window but it was a emergency window so there was no screens...???????? Also it was installed in very high place, we needed a chair, we had to call the front desk to get help - not to mention the phone is outside our rooms near the elevator.... Third problem - there was three small slippers in our room. My partner couldn't fit into it and we asked if there's any bigger size but they only accommodated a one time use slippers, which in size it wasn't any different. His only option was bare feet or wear his outside boots to walk to the washroom. I have stayed at this hotel before. I loved the vibe, the room is super cozy and cute. I understand the hotels in Japan aren't that big. But overall, I felt like the guests had to accommodate their accommodations more. Bigger slippers are a must, if they're getting more tourists.
